If This Isn't Nice, What Is?
— Kurt Vonnegut

Timequake by Kurt Vonnegut is my first experience of reading the famed author of Slaughterhouse Five and this almost biographical work was an absolute blast. It kind of centers around the premise that the universe has glitched and everyone has to repeat the last ten years, exactly as it was before, without any free will. It's completely bonkers, full of crazy characters and it's thoroughly entertaining, funny, joyous, moving and at times life-affirming.

I read it over a few days during a week long trip to Spain in the Cartagena region. Not going to lie, I completely fell in love with Cartagena, like a mini Barcelona but much less tourists — at least in the week day evening we went — and just teeming with Spanish life.
