That Was The Week That Was — 16th February 2020

I really dislike Slack. Had to use it a few times and discovered it's not for me. I find it a huge distraction to actually getting work done. It simply replaces one noise channel with another.

On this current project I'm having daily phone calls with my fellow collaborator. Actual phone calls. We talk, complete with pauses, silences, nuance and subtly that doesn't come through in text communication. Then the rest of the day I can get on with the work, without distraction. Even email gets turned off, alongside phone notifications. I like the quiet.

I've been very much in world of digital for this project, so Produced for Use has taken a little bit of a back seat right now. Whilst I'm still sending out various orders, things have slowed a little as I concentrate on the work in hand. Then again, I'm not in any hurry.
