That Was The Week That Was — 15th March 2020

Whilst sequences were rendering for this client video piece in 4K, we managed to steal away a few hours at the park — making sure to keep our distance. We sat for an hour or two as the local Swan rescue walked by. First time I'd even heard of such a thing.

Our new car arrived on the Wednesday, on the back of a truck, as we did the entire transaction online through LingsCars.com. The whole process was exceptional — if a little bonkers. Take a look at the websiote and you'll see what I mean.

In Houdini I was exploring some advection techniques following this tutorial on Entagma, which seems to be a new road to go down.

Ended my Wetransfer Pro subscription of £10 per month as Dropbox introduced a similar feature, which I tried out a few times with this current client piece of work. It worked really well, so there was no longer any need for me to fork out the additional money. I think in the coming months I'll be looking at what else I can cut from my outgoings.
