That Was The Week That Was — 14th April 2019
I've been continuing to work on Project X in TouchDesigner and after some feedback from my fellow collaborator I've got some more crafting to do before we're both happy with it at this stage. We're working to an end of April deadline which should all be fine. As this thing grows we're gradually changing the aesthetic. What we liked the other week doesn't really work anymore as the project grows and the rhythm of the piece starts to take shape.
The posters for BeyondTellerrand in Dusselfdorf are starting to come together, based on the work I'm doing for the titles. As a set of thirteen — one for each speaker — they should look good. I do really need to crack on with the titles but I haven't felt quite in the mood to work on it much. I'm sure that will change.
Then mid-week a thing happened. A good thing that made me smile, so much so that I thought when I woke up the next day it may have actually been a dream. Fortunately it wasn't. I can't say much else at the moment, but for me it is already one of the highlights of the year.
The latter half of the week I started to iterate the produced for use brand, especially the packaging for Morfff which I was never happy with. These things often evolve over time and as it's my own personal project I don't want to rush it. I feel I'm now in a place were it's simpler yet still has a personality. The combination of the decorative exclamation mark against the monospaced very digital typeface speaks of my love of combining analog and digital elements.
