MoviePeg

A super-simple stand for iPhone and iPad

When travelling back one time from London I was wrestling with my iPhone, trying to rest it against my bag to get it at the right angle to watch a movie. As it kept sliding off I thought there had to be a better, simpler way to hold my iPhone at an angle.

That night when I got home, after sketching out an idea, I made a prototype from cardboard. It worked. That idea then went on to become MoviePeg, being sold in over seventy countries both online and in retail stores.

Of all the things I've made over the years this is one of the ones I'm most proud of. I love its ridiculous simplicity with any noise having been removed to make it as simple as it can be, yet still making it incredibly useful.

As well as the actual product I'm also very proud of the packaging – a cute little matchbox style box that makes you want to pick it up, hold it and keep it. Those two things – the packaging and the product – are what make MoviePeg, MoviePeg.
