Making music physical again

Originally created for my Dot Dot Dot show in Sheffield, three tracks from three of Sheffield's finest bands are made physical.

Using specially written software, frequency data for the entire track winds its way around the starting shape of a simple torus. This is then 3D printed to create an object you can hold in your hands; a physical representation of that song, kind of like vinyl used to be.
